The Grief and Glee of Adeline

The sun-rays touched the beautiful and calm face of Adeline Marie Vergara that made her awake from her deep nightmare.  Adeline is working as a police woman with the rank of Police Inspector and a position of Chief of Police. Now, Adeline is back on her strong and dignified character, an approachable and thoughtful COP to her subordinates. Adeline is a very kind person to her family and friends and even to the people that she just met. Nobody could notice that she is still in pain because she is always smiling and wearing her mask as a happy one.

            It was 8:00 o’clock in the morning, time of her duty. A usual day for a very busy lady COP. While in the middle of her busy paper works she remembered her nightmare, tears starts to fell down from her lonely eyes. Adeline still could remember the very terrible thing happened to them, the car accident one year ago that caused her deep grief of losing her fiancée Frances Tavares, a Police Inspector. That accident that keeps intruding her mind caused her sadness. However, Adeline is still accepting the fact that her beloved was gone. She wiped her tears and continues on her paper works putting her mask again seems that everything is fine.

            Adeline and her fiancée are both fresh graduates from Philippine National Police Academy. They were mates, batch mates, seat mates, and they became best buds and afterwards became lovers. They both survived in the academy and graduated as a Police Inspector. They loved each other and one week before the accident, Frances had proposed to Adeline. It was a happy moment for both of them but a week after Frances died and Adeline felt like it was end of her happiness, her best buds, boyfriend and soon to be her husband and a father to her children was gone. Everything has changed to her; she became lonely and weak unlike the Adeline before that was very joyful and active. That accident, the loss of Frances made her vulnerable but she is trying to be fine even it’s not.

            It is been a year since that accident happened, Adeline keep on moving for her own good and to her family as well. She keeps on working, keeping herself too busy enough to forget the pain and their memories. She is still longing for Frances but she tends to be strong like she was before. Time had passed by and she’s tired of her paper works she decided to take a rest and keep her mind calm. Tomorrow is another day for a busy lady COP. At the midst of her deep sleep, her subordinate knocked the door of her office which made her awake. Her subordinate gave her an invitation card, an invitation from their Parish Priest. She was invited with her subordinates to attend a prayer meeting regarding with spiritual activities for the police force.  

            The time has come where Adeline and her team were going to the prayer meeting. And there they’ve meet other police officers from other places and she thought it would be good for her to socialize again to the people. The event was good and the teaching captured their hearts and soul. They were awaked on who really Jesus is, our God in their lives. After the sermon of the priest, they were grouped for some activities and each group have assigned seminarians to assist them. In Adeline’s group there was a tall, dark and handsome man assigned to them. The man introduced his self; he was Nathaniel Subiera a 4th year AB Philosophy student, a seminarian in Rogationist Seminary Cebu.

            As the activities goes by, here comes the time when Adeline and Nathaniel talked. Nathaniel looked at the eyes of Adeline and he noticed that her eyes seemed so sad. Adeline laughed a bit; she asked the man how he noticed her sadness that eventually she was hiding it with her mask. The man explained it to her, Adeline felt comfortable to Nathaniel’s company. Adeline shared her story to Nathaniel and the man gave her some advises. They talked a lot and they did not notice that the activity was done. Adeline felt blissful and thanks to that event, afterwards they both say goodbye to each other with a smile in their face. There is really happiness beyond sadness.

            After that prayer meeting, Adeline noticed herself that there were changes happened to her. While she was working, she remembered Nathaniel and his motivating words. On the other hand Nathaniel’s felt the same, he always remembers the angelic face of the lady COP. Days passed by and the things goes usual, the routine was the same but the feelings changed. Adeline keeps on thinking Nathaniel and she felt like she wanted to see Nathaniel again.

It was the town fiesta and fortunately the destiny crossed their way again,

Adeline and Nathaniel met again. Adeline felt so grateful and Nathaniel felt the same way.  They talked like they missed each other even though they are not that close as friends. Adeline was very comfortable with Nathaniel and he felt the same towards Adeline. They exchanged their mobile number for some purposes but the truth they just want to get closer to each other. They both have rare feelings to each other; they were both happy when they were together. Adeline and Nathaniel became good friends then, when they have vacant time they go for a date, a friendly date. And Adeline knew the life story of Nathaniel, whom Nathaniel does not want to become a priest and enter to the seminary but it was his parents’ choice and he was just following it. Nathaniel was not happy also that’s why he can relate to the sadness of Adeline.

            Months had passed by but the two are getting closer to each other. Adeline feels comfort from Nathaniel, they both introduced each other on their respective family, and their friendship seems smooth. Many things had happened; our Adeline is back. Nathaniel is now a graduating student and he planned not to continue his Seminary life, he wants to find his real happiness which he thought it’s outside the seminary. Nathaniel told her mother about his plan and fortunately his mother respects his decision, he got conflict from some of his family member but at the end they just respect and support Nathan’s decision. Nathaniel told Adeline that he will not continue his priesthood life, and Adeline was happy about Nathans decision.

            The time has come, it’s Nathaniel’s graduation day and everyone is busy preparing for the big event. In a busy schedule of Adeline she marked this day as a special one, she took a leave just to attend in Nathaniel’s graduation. The master of ceremony said: “Nathaniel Subiera- AB Philosophy, Congratulations”. You can see the big smile on Nathaniel’s face; at last he finished his four year course. He can now find his true self outside the walls of the seminary. After the event, Nathaniel’s family went home for dinner. While others are busy celebrating Nathaniel and Adeline are setting at the corner watching the laughter of the family.

            At the end of this story, Nathaniel expressed his feeling towards Adeline and luckily Adeline did. The two good friends became a lover, their both family knew about their relationship and they are supported by them. Their relationship became smooth, they are happy together. Adeline who has a depth grief is now happy, she’s really back. After a year they both decided to marry each other, both of them are really thankful to have each other. After how many years as a couple they were blessed to have four (4) cute little angels, two handsome boys and two lovely girls. After all the pain that Adeline experienced of losing her fiance turns to a glee that Nathaniel and their children brought to her. It is really true that after every grief that you gain there is a glee waiting for you.

"THE MIGHTY EAGLE OF THE SOUTH"

A hard mouthed man, every word that came from his mouth is like a sharp sword that will make a mark to every person who heard it. He does not care if who you are or what position do you have in this society if you are doing a thing that is unlawful, and then he will curse you! That Drug Lords, Drug pusher, Users and other people who committed or will commit unlawful acts are the people he hates the most. A person with a strong character that will lead us to a new society; he is Rodrigo Roa Duterte the new president of the Republic of the Philippines.

Change has come brought by this appealing man with dignity and courage to discipline the people. He is truly the man of change! He is the best president I've ever known; he can be comparably a mighty eagle who left his territory to protect the whole forest. President Rodrigo Duterte is such a kind man, a compassionate one. He has a genuine intention to serve our beloved nation, the Philippines. Such a great man of dignity and courage, he is the one.

Many people wanted to put him down but the destiny decides, he won because he is capable to rule our nation. This courageous man is what we need, the man of change. With his disciplinary leadership for sure Philippines will prosper. Our beloved president has a brave stances yet a soft-hearted man. He is a strict father to his children but a loving one. Everything will change because God gave a man, an inevitable man with a stronger character.

He lives in his City peacefully but because of his compassion to the whole country he was challenge and decided to destroy corruptions and drugs businesses which are rampant in our country. His journey as a new president begins and may the Almighty Father give him strength to finish his call. A lot of adjectives may describes him, he is responsible, courageous, brave, capable, kind, generous and a lot more but the best thing to describe him is he’s really GENUINE. He is true to his duty as a president of the Republic of the Philippines.

INCIDENT REPORT

P.O.I: Room H3B, 3^rd Floor DPT Building

T.O.I: August 4, 2016 (3:30 PM)

Reason: Gang War

Suspect: Franing Khaayo

Victim: Berting Isuga

Investigator: SPO4 Jack Hoback

                        Talomo Police Station

            At around 3:30 PM, August 4, 2016 an alleged mauling incident transpired at Room H3B, 3^rd Floor DPT Building. Upon receipt of information, the operatives of the University of Mindanao with the Talomo, Police Station headed by the Police Investigator, SPO4 Jack Hoback responded immediately to the scene of the crime. The Investigator found out that there was a Gang War happened. The victim was identified as one (1) Berting Isuga, 19 years old, 3^rd year BS IT student of the said University. The suspect was also identified as one (1) Franing Khaayo, 20 years old, 3^rd year BS Tourism student of the same University stated. The victim was brought to University Clinic for proper medication. The University of Mindanao personnel is still on the process on what punishment may the suspect attained. Majority of the University heads suggested that expulsion suited for the suspect.

Lately, I had noticed that there’s a lot of by standers in the Consultation Room. It seemed that they don’t have any important issues to stay at the Room. I am just worried that the room will be their resting place.

Would you be responsible enough to take good care the Consultation Room at the same time your CSG office. I am worried about the important things and other confidential documents that might be loss. Kindly do your job effectively. Thank you and God Speed.
