Young heart
meets Old Heart
Have you ever wonder that a stranger would become part of
your life now? Me? I never thought that but everything has changed when summer
started. My name is Elina Park and this is my story. I was having my summer
class when I got bored of my life. Nothing new in my routine, house-school-making
assignments-repeat. My friends are too tired to have fun since summer is the
hottest month in Earth and it was supposed to be our break, unfortunately, we
have to take our summer class. I decided to have some fun with my phone. As I
scroll in Google Play Store I found this one application in communication
category that amazed me because of the capacity that the application can do. As
curiousness kills the cat, I tried to download We Chat and I wasn’t expecting
someone would chat me.
A few moments later, a flood of greetings was shown and most of the people are strangers. Most of the chats are asking your name, sex, age, location and job. Typical questions you will encounter when you joined a group chats. With my amusement, I started to chat a lot of people who send me greetings. There is one man who caught my attention while I scanned the greetings. As I seen his greetings, I doubt his face since I can barely see it clearly since he used some effects to make a Polaroid effect. I ignored him for that day but that doesn’t stop him sending me a greetings for the following days. To stop him from being nagger, I decided to accept his greetings and that started our conversation. Before I can say anything, he makes himself clear with all his intention with me. That stops me thinking about all the possible situation can be happen. I was so happy then.
As days passed by, we accidentally met each other in 7/11 in Marco Polo since I bought a book in Mutya and he is
at the Marco Polo. With all the meet-ups I’ve done, that one wasn’t awkward
honestly. He treated me snacks and we have a small chitchats. We tend to make
other people look at us since we laugh out loud and it was our first meet up.
The man at the back notice it and he just look at both of us. Sorry bro, we have the chemistry that bind us
together.
Later on, we hang out most of the time as possible. Then asking why he does that he just answer “If the summer ends, everything will never be the same again. I want to cherish all the chances I have to spend time with you.” Heartaches and butterfly in my stomach are the feelings that was dominated at me. Well I can’t blame him for that since he has the work and I’m a student. Maybe we should cherish what we have today because I can’t predict what will happen tomorrow. After that confession, every day was a special day then I realized how hard for me to let go of this man. Few days from now he’ll be gone and here I am left into broken pieces. Time will heal my emptiness and the scar will be left at my heart to remind me there was a man who makes me happy for a while. I wish in the future me and him can be together, if not, I wish the memories and pain will be gone like him.

President
Rodrigo Roa Duterte
The newly
elected president of the Philippines, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, which was the
former Mayor of Davao City, is the first-Mindanao elected as president in the
Republic of the Philippines. Pres. Rodrigo aka “Digong” for Dabawenyos is known
for his believes and strong appeal person. He is a father of four children
which are the following: Paulo-the bad boy and now the Vice-Mayor of Davao
City, Inday Sarah-the warrior and the new Mayor of Davao City, Sebastian-the
beach lover and the outcast in politics and Veronica-the princess in the
family. In one of the interview to his son, he describe Digong as a discipliner
father. He doesn’t indulge the action of his children. Being a grandfather to
his grandson doesn’t take an advantage for him. He treated them the way he
treated their parents because he want to raise them in a well-mannered person.
Being the former Mayor of Davao City made the city as the second safest city in the world which you should be proud of. All his efforts are really paid off. In his 22 years ruling Davao City, you can observe and see that Davao City has changed and still continue to develop. The level of crimes happened in Davao is lesser than Manila and people living in the city can live their life without having fear for their safety. Not only that, the tribal groups loves Duterte because he listen to what they want and grant solution for their problems. Even the Muslims are in favor of Duterte’s way of ruling his territories. All the good things he do for people has always a bad effect for others. Bashing Duterte because of his habit of cursing in front of media is not new for Dabawenyos. As you can observe he’s only saying bad words if he hates a topic or person not because he is a bad person. The media makes him bad person. Anyways, as expected his first priority in the country is to lessen the level of crime happening every day. The number one enemy of Digong is Drug Dealer. Drugs can make a person evil. Once a person is a drug addict he tends to make a crime without thinking what is right and wrong.

Living in a city where you feel safe to walk outside around 2 am, pleasing personalities of people, the abundance of food, and the care shown to you by your ruler, makes you realize how you should be thankful for your Mayor. People of the Philippines should learn to trust Pres. Duterte not because it was required but because you should. He knows what he is doing and nothing to worry about.
