The Boy’s Journey


There was once a boy sailing across a very vast ocean somewhere in the east. He is a very brave, smart, and very skilled young boy. He has been dreaming about sailing the whole world along with his strong little ship. He is very confident in achieving that dream by himself.

One day, He went to an island. It is very quiet and scary. As his boat reached the shore, He immediately walks along the island to find some food. As He went inside the forest, He went through a tough fight with a very huge bear. He managed to kill the bear with his small knife and cooked it as his food until the end of that day.

Time passed by and He was already near to his goal. He went through many islands and fought the wildest animals in land or sea. One day, a bad weather was ahead of his course. It was a very gigantic and destructive storm. He never encountered such as strong as that storm in his entire journey. As He went through it, his strong little ship did not manage to sail through strong winds and gigantic waves and sank with him.

 After the storm, He was washed away in an island and heard a strange voice. At first, He thought it was someone else’s voice. But as He heard it clearer, it turns out that it was his mother's. His mother was yelling at him early in the morning, telling him to get up in his bed and get ready for school.


The boy, in real life, wanted to become a captain in a ship. He really wanted to sail the world! Didn’t he? One thing's for sure is— we ourselves have our own dreams, and only us can make and it possible. Just keep focused and determined to our goals.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is the sixteenth president of the Republic of the Philippines. He was also the former mayor in Davao City for almost twenty-two years. He is well-known because of brave and patriotic personality. He is also known as “The Punisher” because of his strong personality when it comes to serving and protecting his fellowmen.

President Duterte began governing our country on June 30, 2016 after the inauguration ceremony at Malacañang Palace in Manila. But before He was elected as a president, he was the most controversial candidate for presidency during the campaign period.He was criticized because of his some inappropriate actions, like kissing random women in public. And the feminists' minds were triggered and they were offended in their part. And lastly, the thing that people had been talking the most about him, was cursing on cam during interviews. Many religious groups, specially the Catholic Church, did not like him because of that some kind of habit.They said He was not a good role model to children and teenagers.

But in my personal opinion, President Duterte is not a perfect man, and He will never be. But although He isn’t, I saw something different in his eyes. And I think the sixteen million Filipinos saw it too. This led him in becoming the current president now. Many people are glad that the won and some maybe are disappointed. I believe that He can make this country a better place. And He needs our help and cooperation to do his job done.

Mauling Incident

Location: Room H3B, 3rd floor DPT Building
Date: August 4, 2016 (3:30 PM)
Reason: Gang war
Suspect(s): Franing Khaayo
Victim(s): Berting Isuga
Investigator: SPO4 Jack Hobak
                   Talomo Police Station
Description or Latest Development:

 Just this afternoon today (Aug. 4, 2016) two at Students of University of Mindanao caught up into a one-on-one fight. Suspect was identified as Franing Khaayo, and the victim was Berting Isuga, who are both second year students and also both part of the two of the most notorious gangs in this city.

 Franing Khaayo started the fight and made Berting Isuga's temper to rise up. Because of Berting's anger, he ended up losing the fight against Franing. After the fight, Franing quickly ran away because he thought he killed Berting. Berting was barely breathing and was rushed to the nearest hospital.

 After a couple of minutes, a police officer arrived at the location. SPO4 Jack Hoback, from Talomo Police Station, said “I’ve been always observing these two. Last time I caught them, they said they’re already out of their gangs.”

 University of Mindanao double-checked all of the students' identity and records. The two students were expelled later that incident and their names were added to the blocked list.
