“Everything that is Given
is not Always a Gift”
Once upon a time there’s a little boy
who dreamed to be the king of Ascaban, he dreamed to have many golds when he
grew up. Ascaban is rich in gold, silver and many other minerals. During the
younger years of Midas, the little boy who dreamed to be the king. He did
everything just to please everyone. Because of the kindness of Midas, the
people noticed his goodness that’s why all people of Ascaban loved Midas but at
this time the current king did not notice him. Time in time Midas continue
doing his good deeds until there is such time the king noticed him. In that
very moment, the king told the guard to seek for the young child Midas. As the
young Midas walk through the path along the castle, he saw an old lady seeking,
finding, searching for food, because of the kindness of the young, he gave the
old lady his lunch and the old lady starts to eat while Midas is just watching
her to eat. The old lady said “thank you young boy”. Midas pointed to the and
said “go to the castle old lady there is plenty of food there” but in an
instant the old lady disappeared just like a bubble. He continued walking so he
can at the castle before noon. As he arrive at the castle, the king give him a
hug and saying “you young child will be the next king of Ascaban when the right
time comes and I’m sure of it”, and the young boy just smiled at the king’s
face. After years of service as the king’s right hand there is the time when
suddenly one day the king figured out that he is very ill and no means of
medicine that can cure him. One night Midas was about to give the king some
water, the king knew that it was about time to tell Midas everything. The king
said,” My time is limited now, so it’s about time to tell you that you will be
the next king of Ascaban and my true successor after I die”. As the time pass
by the current king died because of his terrible sickness and on that day Midas
was announce as the new king of Ascaban.
The first 5 years of his rule was going
good. The kingdom was prospered through the years. Because of the dream of the
king to have many golds the greediness of the king Midas has begun. Gold wa
getting more and more valuable to him, the he wants everything in his kingdom
are made of gold. One night an old lady appeared in his quarters. The old lady
was so familiar to him, that’s why he asks “are you the old lady I met in my
younger years?”, and the old lady answered “yes Midas, I was the old lady you
helped”. Midas ask another question and said “why are you here in my
quarters?”, the old lady replied “because of your kindness I’m here to repay
what you did to everyone, wish anything you want and I’ll grant that without
doubt”. Without thinking what will be the consequence, rashly said without
doubt “I wish everything I’ll touch will turn to gold”. There was a bright
flash and king Midas blacked out. Whenhe woke up in his golden bed, he hastily
goes to his activities. The king be gone to eat and suddenly the fruit he
touches turns to solid gold. He was shocked of what happen then there he
realize that night was not adream but it really happened. The king was so glad
of what he has, he touches everything he sees in his castle. But there was a
day when everything went wrong. When his wife was walking through the corridor,
she was dumbstruck in awe. She exclaimed, “Midas what happened here?”, Midas
was so happy to tell his wife everything so he went to his wife and forgotten
his golden touch. With one touch his wife turned into solid gold. He was
shocked. Midas explained, “I don’t mean to turn you into gold, I just want to
tell you everything“. Midas cried and cried that almost his tears turns to
blood while staring at his wife. The king was so depressed then there he
realizes that his golden touch is not a gift but a curse, to teach him that
being greedy of something will dealt great damage to every person surrounds
you. The king did not eat nor sleep, regretting everything about his golden touch.
One day the old lady appeared again in his quarters. Midas was shocked. But he
rashly run to the old lady and begged,” Please lady remove my golden touch and
bring back my wife to normal”.
The old lady
replied,” I will remove your golden touch and everything you touch that turned
to gold, but I will give you a hand of a monster”. The king agreed to the old
lady and again there is a bright flash and Midas blacked out. When he woke up
in his bed, everything turns back to normal except for his monster hands. It is
very shameful for a king to have a monster hand so he chooses to make it a
secret of himself alone. There is only one person who saw his monster hand and
that is the jester of the castle. The jester spread the news to the whole
kingdom. The king was mad and told his guards to find the root cause of all
this bad news. The jester was caught and brought back to the king. The king
stared at the jester madly that he wants to kill the jester with his own hands.
The jester is just looking downward. The king sentenced the jester to death
after three days because of spreading the bad news about the king. The king
realize that he also made a mistake but he was forgiven. So the king did not
continue the death penalty but instead he forgave the jester and gave the
jester freedom. The king was happy and glad with his decision. The kind, humble
and obedient Midas is coming back. Regardless of his monster hand the kingdom
prospered again. After three months of being a humble king, the old lady
appeared in his dreams and said, “because of your kindness and the old Midas I
knew has come back, I’ll bring back your hands to normal”. The king woke up and
was shocked that his hands turns back to normal. That day the king had a feast
with his whole kingdom and that day was part of history that the whole kingdom
of Ascaban won’t forget. Through the years the kingdom of Ascaban lives in
prosperity, peace and abundance.

“DUTERTE”
Rodrigo Roa Duterte is the
current president of the Republic of the Philippines and he was the first
president that came from Mindanao mainly in Davao City. In Davao city he is the
very terrifying person to those people who deals with drugs and crimes. Because
of his great service, Davao today is one of the safest city in the whole world.
Rodrigo Duterte is somewhat short, chubby and brown in color, if you will see
his face there many things you can say of what his struggling just to make the
whole country today drug free and crime free or just to lessen it. Many people
are afraid of him because of said records of extra judiciary killings which is
not proven to be true. Before he became the president of the Philippines, he is
the mayor of Davao city for 22 years and he turned Davao city from a dark place
to a civilized city with a low percentage of crimes. In spite of Duterte’s
image of being a “serial killer’ and “punisher” he is also soft inside and
caring to his “taongbayan”. Duterte is a simple person, he likes to wear polo
shirts and a simple maong pants confronting the media. Duterte is also known as
the “IRON FIST” and known for his mantra “I hate drugs”. He has a unique
strategy of winning the presidency and also a unique skill of handling a city.
He hates corruption, drugs and crimes that’s why the whole Philippines believes
that change is really coming with Rodrigo Roa Duterte on the move.

Building, there was a student punching another student half alive. Mr. Franing
was a member of a known gang “Bloods” while Mr. Berting was a member of the
ultimate foe of bloods “creeps”. While Mr. Berting was walking along 3rd
Floor DPT building 3:30pm, Mr. Franing was madly staring Berting, kind of stare
that he wants to kill Mr. Berting. Mr. Franing can’t control his anger because
of what the gang creeps did to their ally the other day, that his ally was
beated half to death and Mr. Franing seek for revenge so Mr. Franing ran to the
way of Mr. Berting and pull Mr. Berting to the room H3B and start beating him.
Mr. berting can’t act because he was dizzy with the first punch. After that Mr.
Franing leaved Mr. Berting half alive and so I call a police officer.
